As It Was Learned in Reflection: Poems by Morgan Garcia
The Darkness Never Leaves
There is a ravaging monster
inside his head, it
Makes him need to see
the seventh wonder —
The greatest sin
As carnal man that lies
with women is only
A human.
A Generational Strange
It’s strange how men have failed through generations.
And yet I know this.
And yet I fail with them.
Intended Improvements
I shall be a better man! They
all wrote in their pages
of past. But who has
Truly, out-performed
their destiny?
At the Seat of Judgement
As I have judged
harshly and inflicted my inward
pain onto others, as those have
done to me in my past,
and present,
and future—
I am in no position to judge.
