Donations to The Berkeley Pulse directly fund student journalism, creative publishing, and community programming. Contributions are used responsibly to support the following areas:

Occasional parking or access-related fees tied to reporting
Equipment & Production
Audio equipment (microphones, recorders, windscreens)

Publishing & Website Operations
Website hosting and Squarespace plan costs

No donations are used for personal profit, and no donor influences editorial coverage.
Donation categories reflect the kinds of work your support helps make possible. Contributions are used to support The Berkeley Pulse’s overall operations and mission, allowing flexibility to respond to reporting needs, workshops, publishing costs, and community programming as they arise.
Donation Levels
$5 — Support a Story
Helps cover the cost of publishing and sharing one piece.$15 — Fuel a Game Recap
Supports transportation and basic coverage needs.$25 — Fund a Workshop
Helps provide materials and resources for student workshops.$50 — Sponsor Student Publishing
Supports editing, creative features, or multimedia production.$100 — Help Upgrade Equipment
Contributes toward microphones, storage, or production tools.$500 — Semester Supporter
