Editorial Standards

The Berkeley Pulse

The Berkeley Pulse is a student-run journalism organization at the University of California, Berkeley. Our work is reporter-led, editor-reviewed, and grounded in original reporting.

Reporting & Authorship

All published articles are written by human authors and based on original reporting, which may include interviews, on-site observation, and analysis. Opinion and cultural criticism reflect the judgment of the author.

Editing & Tools

We may use digital tools, including AI-assisted software, for transcription, note organization, copyediting, and accessibility. These tools support our workflow but do not replace human reporting, writing, or editorial judgment.

Accuracy & Corrections

We aim for accuracy in all published work. Errors are corrected when identified.

Credit & Attribution

All work is credited to its author(s). Quotes, sources, and creative contributions are attributed where applicable.
